Cooling System Repair
The major components of a cooling system are Coolant, Radiator, Radiator Fan, Radiator Cap,Water Pump, Thermostat, and Coolant Reservoir. Coolant is also known as Antifreeze, flows through radiator and engine to balance the temperature of the engine. Radiator fans pump air throughout radiator so it can discharge the hot air outside. The radiator cap is positioned on the coolant reservoir. The coolant reservoir monitors the levels of the coolant. Vehicle’s thermostat is a measurement that controls the flow of coolant due to coolant temperature. At Car Tech Tires we inspect the radiator fan to ensure that the drive belt is working well and isn’t cracked. Upon request, We check the coolant reservoir every time you come in for an oil change service. The radiator cap should be inspected at least once a year. We also recommend that antifreeze used in vehicles should be changed every two years.
